Reflecting on his earliest memory of music, Sudhir reminisces about his school days when he was selected to sing for the Annual function in grade 7. Despite receiving immense love and appreciation, he didn’t initially consider music as a career. Sudhir shares, “It wasn’t until college, where some professors who had studied music, recognized my talent and encouraged me to pursue music seriously. I started to participate in competition and Leo winning. The prize money was definitely a plus point.” Receiving positive feedback propelled him towards a career in music.
Lessons from Reality Shows and Advice to Aspiring Singers
Having participated in numerous singing reality shows, Sudhir acknowledges the competitive nature of the industry. He advises aspiring singers not to solely rely on reality shows for success but to focus on honing their craft and creating their own music. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists who believed in their talent and flourished despite initial setbacks, Sudhir emphasizes the importance of trusting one’s process and continuous improvement as an artist. “Jubin Nautiyal, Arijit Singh and Vishal Mishra are great examples. They were rejected at reality shows but look at how far they have come!”

In an industry that is constantly evolving, Sudhir acknowledges the importance of adapting to change while staying true to one’s musical roots. He highlights the significance of blending traditional techniques with modern technology to create a unique style. For Sudhir, maintaining creative inspiration and motivation is a continual process of learning, experimenting, and embracing new musical influences.
Preparing for Performance
Before live shows or recording sessions, I won’t label them as rituals but I do prepare myself mentally and spiritually. Drawing strength from up upbringing and musical training, I practice gratitude and meditation, along with the obvious vocal techniques. This helps me stay positive and deliver captivating performances.”
Impact of Social Media and AI
Sudhir recognizes the democratizing effect of social media and AI in providing opportunities to amateur artists. While acknowledging the potential misuse of music, he believes that these platforms also offer a gateway to exposure and recognition for talented individuals. “I have received so many offers from social media. The biggest example being, I was picked to sing Shambhu through my social media profile. There’s two side to every coin and it’s up to us how to utilise and make the most of it.”
Success of Shambhu
Reflecting on the success of his song Shambhu, Sudhir attributes its popularity to the collective effort of the entire team and the inclusion of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar in the music video. “Anything that attains fame and success is a result of a collective effort out in by the entire team. Shambhu is one such project, where everyone right from the technicians to the lead artist put it their 100 percent. Having said that, the key factor is definitely Akshay Kumar sir. The love and respect his fans and audience has for him is unmatched.”
Aspirations and Future Projects
Looking ahead, Sudhir dreams of collaborating with esteemed composers like A.R. Rahman, M.M. Keeravani, Vishal Bharadwaj, and Amit Trivedi. He also expresses a desire to lend his voice to actor Vicky Kaushal in the future.
