Sushmita Banik: When I stood in front of the Taj Mahal, I was awestruck

Actor Sushmita Banik who made her television debut with Janani in 2021, recently ticked off one of the biggest experiences from her bucket list—visiting the Taj Mahal for the very first time. The actress couldn’t hold back her excitement as she described the wonder of the world as nothing less than magical.  Sharing her feelings, Sushmita said, “When I stood in front of it, I was awestruck. The beauty, the aura, and the history behind it gave me goosebumps. No matter how many times you hear about it, nothing matches the experience of actually being there.”  She further mentioned how the monument’s intricate details and the story of eternal love behind it made her admire it even more. “I kept wondering how something so beautiful was built centuries ago, yet it still looks flawless. It’s truly a timeless wonder,” she added. Sushmita, who has been part of notable films and OTT projects, shared that the visit also gave her a fresh perspective as an artist. “Experiencing such grandeur inspires me creatively. It makes me want to take on more meaningful roles and stories that touch people emotionally, just like the Taj Mahal does in its own way,” she expressed.  The actress spent her day soaking in the views, capturing pictures, and simply admiring the monument. For her, it wasn’t just a tourist visit but also a soulful experience. “It made me feel proud that such a symbol of love and beauty exists in our country,” she said, calling it a memory she will cherish forever.
