The Swaranuja Music Academy is thrilled to announce the third year of its acclaimed program, ‘Ugam,’. The programme will take place on Sunday, June 2 at the Garware College Auditorium located on Karve Road, Pune. The programme will start at 5.30 pm. The event is free and open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme starts with the performance of students of renowned harmonium player Tanmay Deochake. Tanmay’s students are from various places all over the world and selected students will perform during the ‘Ugam’ program. Renowned Vocalist from Mewati Gharana Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar will be present as the chief guest for this
During the programme, Tanmay Deochake’s special performance ‘Tanmay in Harmony’ will conclude. In this, he himself will perform some new compositions made by him. He will be accompanied by Tanmay Pawar (Guitar), Jai Suryavanshi (Keyboard), Abhishek Bhuruk (Drums), Soham Gorane (Tabla), and Neeraj Pandit (Bass Guitar).
In a special tribute to Tanmay Deochake’s grandfather, Gopal Deochake, the inaugural Sri Gopal Deochake Scholarship will be awarded to a promising Harmonium player. Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar, will present the scholarship to Vishwajit Kini from Mangalore. The program will be guided by Mansi Argadi.
