Swatantra Theatre proudly celebrates its 18th year in Pune. Since its inception in 2006, Swatantra Theatre has been a prominent force in the city’s theatrical landscape. Each year, we present the YOTA Award to a distinguished personality in the field of theatre. This year, the award was given to veteran Theatre Director Shri Anil Ranjan Bhowmick, Creative Director of Samanantar Theatre in Allahabad, in recognition of his 45 years of expertise in acting, playwriting, and direction.
Additionally, Swatantra Theatre actors were honored with awards in various categories, including Best Acting, Best Dedication, and Best Actor for the past year.
Previously YOTA Award was presented to Shri Aniruddh Khutwad, Pradeep Vaidya, Dr Ajay Joshi, Ajay Kumar, Vidyanidhi Vanarase, Mohan Kulkarni, Sanjay Pawar, Pragbha Viraat. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by Colonel Ashish Raisinghani, Commander of the College of Military Engineering. Mr Yuwaraj Shah - Secretary of Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya and Co Founder of Swatantra Theatre addressed the students in relevance to the current socio political scenario and students presented cultural performances.
