Spanning from the revered masters of the past to the emerging blue-chip contemporaries of today, the exhibition explores the theme “Tradition, Transition, Modernity” under the guidance of curator, Alka Pande. This comprehensive showcase serves as a testament to the country’s rich cultural heritage and its enduring influence on artistic expression.

Speaking about the upcoming edition, Dr Alka Pande shares, “This year’s The Art of India weaves the story of Indian art through a ‘ragamalika’, a garland of many stories, representing the vibrant narrative of Indian visual culture. It is a remarkable compendium of diverse voices, languages, and mediums that define Indian art. The third edition promises to be a moving feast for art lovers. With the Mumbai edition, we are also introducing an interesting segment of folk and tribal art, a strong segment in gender and sexuality, the neurodiverse and some intangible heritage from the Indian art landscape.”
