Some hotel suites are simply luxurious. Others become part of a city’s cultural identity.
For more than a decade, The Lanesborough’s Presidential Suite has stood among London’s most distinguished addresses, admired not only for its scale and craftsmanship, but for the unmistakable sense of place it offers overlooking Hyde Park Corner. This September, the iconic residence enters a new chapter as The Lanesborough unveils a comprehensive reimagining of the suite by internationally acclaimed interior architecture studio, Studio Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR). The project represents the most significant evolution of the hotel’s finest accommodation since its original design, while remaining deeply respectful of the building’s extraordinary heritage.
Rather than replacing history, PYR has chosen to continue it.
The redesign is founded on an understanding that true luxury is rarely about excess. Instead, it lies in proportion, craftsmanship and permanence. Historic silk textiles, bespoke marquetry, exceptional furniture and architectural details have been carefully preserved wherever possible, while new interventions restore light, balance and a renewed sense of architectural clarity throughout the residence. Inspired by the elegant language of Regency interiors and the plasterwork of Robert Adam, the suite now feels brighter, calmer and more intimately connected to the magnificent building that surrounds it.
Occupying one of the few freestanding landmark buildings in London, The Lanesborough enjoys uninterrupted views across Hyde Park, Wellington Arch and Green Park. Those remarkable perspectives have become central to the new design, with interiors conceived to draw daylight deep into the residence and create an effortless dialogue between the suite and the city beyond its windows.
The result is less a hotel suite than an exceptional London home.
Designed as a flexible private residence, the Presidential Suite can be configured as a one-, two-, three- or five-bedroom apartment, allowing families, multi-generational travellers, long-stay guests and private groups to experience one of London’s most exclusive addresses with complete privacy. Elegant reception rooms, expansive terraces and beautifully appointed bedrooms create an atmosphere that is unmistakably residential, while The Lanesborough’s legendary butler service ensures every stay remains entirely individual.
Alongside dedicated butlers available around the clock, guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated programme of personalised daily amenities, bespoke London experiences and access to an exclusive collection of luxury and high-performance vehicles to use during their stay included in the suite rates. Together, they redefine what residential hospitality can be in one of the world’s great capital cities.
Stuart Geddes, Managing Director of The Lanesborough, comments:
“The Signature Presidential Suite represents much more than a refurbishment; it reflects our vision for the future of luxury hospitality. Today’s discerning traveller is seeking privacy, flexibility and experiences that are deeply personal. We have created a residence that feels as much like an exceptional London home as it does one of the world’s finest hotel suites. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to create unforgettable stays that are entirely tailored to each guest.”
The collaboration with Studio Pierre-Yves Rochon also reinforces The Lanesborough’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship and design excellence. Renowned for creating some of the world’s most celebrated luxury hotels and private residences, PYR approached the project with characteristic restraint, allowing heritage, architecture and material quality to guide every decision rather than imposing a contemporary signature.
In an era when luxury is increasingly defined by authenticity, discretion and emotional connection, the reimagined Presidential Suite offers something exceptionally rare: a place that feels both timeless and entirely contemporary. It is not simply a new suite, but the continuation of one of London’s great hospitality stories.
The reimagined Presidential Suite will welcome its first guests from September 2026. Seasonal pricing based on 1, 2, 3 and 5 bed set up.
