Pakwan Chennai proudly commemorates womanhood with the seventh edition of The Realistic Awards, the brainchild of Sanjay Dangi, Anil Dangi, and Hitesh Kothari. The event, held at Rajwada, The Grand Ballroom, in T Nagar Chennai on the evening of February 25, witnessed a spectacular celebration of women achievers from various fields for the seventh consecutive year.
The Realistic Awards 2024 was graced by prominent personalities, including the chief guest, Saravana Kumar Kumaravasagam, Consul General of Malaysia. Renowned actress Kumari Sachu was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award for her exceptional contribution to South Indian Cinema. Philanthropist of the year accolade was bestowed upon actor Suhasini Maniratnam. The audience was enraptured when playback singer Anuradha Sriram received the Best Playback Singer award, delivering captivating performances of her popular tracks in Tamil and Hindi.
One of the highlights of the event was the inspiring journey shared by Captain Soniya Jain, shedding light on her experiences as a pilot, including one of the life-threatening incidents that she encountered. The event commenced with the lighting of Kuthuvilaku by dignitaries, including Mr. and Saravana Kumar Kumaravasagam, Consul General of Malaysia, Actress Suhasini Maniratnam, Actor Sachu, Smt Kanya Bai, Vinitha Dangi, and Nishita Kothari. The audience was treated to a mesmerizing musical performance by instrumentalists Aditya Ravishankar on the Violin and Cyrish Shelton on the Keyboard.
