How has your upbringing influenced your approach?
As a child, one of the highlights of my summer holidays was spending time in my grandmother’s kitchen. Her cooking, both sweet and savory, sparked an interest in me early on. I realized I had a natural ability to pick up on subtle differences in flavors, even in the same dish. The variety of tastes and textures I experienced in my Ammachi’s and Amma’s kitchens played a key role in shaping my passion for food. These moments taught me that flavors can bring back memories and emotions, and this is something that still influences my cooking today.
