Supri Media presents, and Koklico Pictures produces, Tighi, directed by Jijivisha Kale. The film was announced just a few days ago and has already generated strong buzz among audiences. Now, the emotionally rich film has reached another significant milestone. Tighi has been officially selected in the Marathi Cinema Competition section of the 24th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF).
The film delicately explores unspoken emotions, memories, and the inner emotional world of women through the relationship between mothers and daughters. Tighi is slated for a theatrical release on 6 March 2026.
The film is produced by Neha Pendse Bayas, Nikhil Mahajan, Suhrud Godbole, and Swapnil Bhangale. Previously, films by the same team—Pune 52, Godavari, June, and Ravsaheb—have been showcased at the Pune International Film Festival. With Tighi, their association with PIFF continues.
As “the fourth chapter of Tighi’s lives” unfolds, the film sensitively portrays emotional transitions in relationships and diverse perspectives on life in changing times. Directed by Jijivisha Kale, the film features powerful performances by Bharati Achrekar, Neha Pendse Bayas, and Sonali Kulkarni in pivotal roles.
With its sensitive subject matter, strong performances, and a narrative centered on human relationships, Tighi has already begun to stand out within the festival circuit.
