While talking about his new role, Tushar Dalvi reminisced about various things. He shared: “I play Srinivas in Lakshmi Nivas. He’s a middle-class man working as a supervisor at a car company. He’s honest, sincere, and deeply cares for his family. He has five daughters and an adopted son, living together as a large joint family. Srinivas is a man of integrity and self-respect, and he deeply loves his wife, Lakshmi. His wish is for all his children to lead happy lives and have well-settled futures. He puts in every effort to ensure their well-being.Srinivas is always ready to help others and has modern thoughts. His dream is to have his own house. Building a house is important to him because, at the time of their wedding, Lakshmi had made a promise to her father and brother, and Srinivas is determined to fulfill that promise. This goal has become his life’s mission."
He adds, “When I received the final call from Zee Marathi to be a part of this show, I was overjoyed. I share an old connection with Zee Marathi, and it feels great to return to television, especially during Zee Marathi’s silver jubilee year. Adding to my excitement, I’m working alongside Harshada, a brilliant actress. Even though we’ve known each other for years, we never got a chance to work together. Lakshmi Nivas made it possible. During our first promo shoot, we had a lot of fun because I was riding a scooter in it. I haven’t ridden a scooter in nearly 20-25 years! I used to own a similar scooter a long time ago, which was featured in the promo. Sitting on it brought back a flood of memories from the past. Initially, I was a bit tense since balancing the scooter wasn’t easy, especially with Harshada riding pillion. We shot the promo on a live location, and the entire team worked very hard on it. When I got ready with makeup, a wig, and glasses, I was astonished—I couldn’t recognize myself! This new look will surely be a highlight. Every actor desires something fresh, and this role and look in Lakshmi Nivas bring out a new Tushar Dalvi for the audience. I’m confident they’ll love my character.”
