Actor Vaibhav Tatwawadi, known for films like Bajirao Mastani, Article 370, and Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi, is currently seen in A Wedding Story. It is a supernatural thriller that also stars Mukti Mohan in a lead role.

Shedding more light on the film, Vaibhav says, “The moment director Abhinav Pareek and writer Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee narrated the story to me, I immediately said yes. It’s a wonderful, deeply rooted story, and it was a no-brainer for me to accept. The story revolves around the concept of Panchak, as mentioned in the Garud Puran, which is profoundly ingrained in our culture. That depth in the story is what drew me to the project. Although it’s a horror film, it offers much more. For those who love romantic dramas or films with a strong emotional core, this movie has plenty of drama and a beautiful love story. So even if horror isn’t your genre, there are other elements to enjoy. And for those who do love horror, they’ll find plenty to appreciate here.

Sharing more about his role, he adds, “My character, Vikram Nain, or Vicky Nain, is a flamboyant extrovert, always the center of attention. He’s a Punjabi guy, born and raised in Dehradun, and he completed his education in Chandigarh. This character is the complete opposite of who I am in real life; I’m more of a quiet introvert. The supernatural genre is indeed popular in the film industry, but I believe Panchak stands out due to its unique concept. I don’t like comparing films because each has its own story, and I’m confident that our film will connect with the audience in its own way.” Mukti Mohan plays Vaibhav’s love interest in the film. Vaibhav says, “My experience of working with Mukti was phenomenal. She’s a gem of a person, and we hit it off instantly. Chemistry, in my opinion, comes from the comfort you share with the other actor, and I’m sure that our camaraderie will translate into great on-screen chemistry.”

Recently, we have seen massive numbers for Stree 2at the box office, so will A Wedding Story face stiff competition in theaters? On this, Vaibhav says, “Regarding the success of Stree 2, I’m thrilled that people are showering so much love on the film. I don’t see competition as an issue, even if there are several good films released simultaneously. I believe that if a film is good, the audience will watch it for sure.” Vaibhav also shares his beliefs on supernatural things. He says, “When it comes to the supernatural, I consider myself a seeker. If something isn’t within my experience, I might say I don’t believe in it, but I’ll never dismiss its existence. That’s how I approach life, not just supernatural phenomena.” Vaibhav, who hails from Nagpur, has had quite a unique career in the industry. The last two films of Vaibhav, Article 370 and Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi, received great appreciation. “My journey in the film industry has been incredibly fulfilling so far. It began with Hunter, followed by Bajirao Mastani, Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi, and then Article 370, and now A Wedding Story. The feedback I’ve received, especially for Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi and Article 370, has been humbling. I played the title role in Nirmal Patha, and even though it’s been almost a year since the show was released on Sony Liv, I still receive emails and messages on social media about it. In Article 370, I played Yash Chauhan, a flamboyant army officer—a stark contrast to the shy, calm Nirmal Pathak. The love and appreciation I’ve received for these roles have been phenomenal. When I reflect on my journey, the only word that comes to mind is gratitude.”
