Pinga song fame singer Vaishali Made feels that the projects that bring success to an artist are important milestones in their career. She said, “In my opinion, the projects that bring you fame, money, and recognition are very important because they mark the beginning of your career. I think Pinga was the best experience and the best project so far.”
She admits that her singing style has changed over the years and says, “Initially, I wasn’t very trained in singing; I didn’t know much about it. The difference between my singing before and after learning is quite significant.”
What advice would you give to your younger self? “I think the way the new generation sings nowadays is very soft, which I don’t always find suitable because my voice is very strong and energetic. Sometimes, I feel that if I had been able to sing softly from the beginning, my situation today might have been different. This is the advice I would give to my younger self,” she said.
Vaishali also mentioned that, contrary to popular belief, acting is not an easy job. She said, “It is one of the most difficult tasks; Everything you need to show is very challenging. If we talk about singing, we have to convey everything through our voice, express every emotion through our voice, and show all nine emotions (Navarasas) in music. Similarly, an actor has to show their face, which is not an easy job.”
How do you stay creatively inspired when work is less? “I think I prefer to go for riyaaz (practice) most of the time. If I don’t have much work, I go somewhere for two to three days, usually to a place with a different climate. I love to travel, so I visit places I wish to see. Sometimes, I go home or to Kashmir. If I don’t have work, I just immediately book a ticket and go, simply to enjoy my time.”
