Leela, the beloved character from the Marathi television show Navri Mile Hitlerla, is played by Vallari Viraj. Today, let’s get a glimpse into how Vallari takes care of her diet in real life.
“If anything is eaten or done in moderation, it never causes harm. During festivals, I do eat sweets—like during Diwali, I eat karanji because I like it, but only in moderation. I believe that if you feel like eating something and you suppress that craving, the desire just grows stronger. Now that it’s mango season, I’ll enjoy them too—but in moderation. And when you do indulge, don’t forget to work out. Eating well lifts your mood, and that’s especially true in my case. If I don’t eat properly, my mood gets affected, and that impacts my work performance. But when I eat something I enjoy, my mood improves, and my energy to work increases.”
“If I were to describe my daily diet—I start my day by drinking warm water, followed by a fruit, coffee, and for breakfast, I eat oats, poha, upma, or dosabefore heading to the set. For lunch on set, I usually eat one bhakri, a vegetable dish, and salad. I avoid rice, but I always have curd because I like it, and it’s good for digestion and skin. At around 5 p.m., I feel a little hungry, so I have black coffee, a piece of dark chocolate, or dry fruits—sometimes cucumber or carrots. Dinner is around 7 p.m., and it could be roti-sabzi, salad, or grilled chicken. Before bed, I drink warm water. Now that it’s summer, I also drink coconut water.”
Don’t forget to tune in to Navri Mile Hitlerla every night at 11pm only on Zee Marathi.
