Vallari Viraj, who plays Leela in the show Navri Mile Hitlerla on Zee Marathi, recently shared her fondest and most heartfelt Diwali memories. “One Diwali memory that is still fresh in my heart is about my uncle. When I was little, he was the one who taught me how to light fireworks. He’s no longer with us, but I miss him a lot, especially during Diwali. Going shopping for fireworks with him, learning to light them on the terrace—all those moments are still vivid in my mind.”
When asked how she would compare herself to fireworks or Diwali treats, Vallari said, “I think I’m like a phooljhadi (sparkler) because just like a phooljhadi fits in with all the fireworks and helps light them, I love blending in with everyone and being part of the celebration. As for Diwali treats, I’d say I’m like a karanji. Even though I may seem tough on the outside, I’m soft and kind-hearted on the inside.”
