Yauatcha, the renowned Chinese dim sum teahouse unveils its latest Diwali special collaboration, Timeless Desserts, Handcrafted Treasures, in partnership with Tribe Amrapali. This festive collection brings together the worlds of handcrafted jewellery and artisanal patisserie, inspired by the iconic Navratna collection. The collection will be available for a limited time at Yauatcha Bengaluru, both as individual pieces and as thoughtfully curated gifting options, offering a truly unique festive indulgence.
Following successful collaborations with fashion and lifestyle icons like Manish Malhotra, Papa Don’t Preach, and Lovechild by Masaba, this year Yauatcha ropes in Tribe Amrapali’s exquisite artistry. Together, they have transformed the Navratna gemstones into an unforgettable patisserie collection merging fine craftsmanship with culinary elegance, creating an experience that is not only visually striking but also rich in flavour and meaning. Each dessert in the menu is thoughtfully inspired by the hues, qualities, and meanings of the nine stones, celebrating beauty and indulgence.
Representative of modern India, the dessert collection features a fourfold petit gâteaux, meticulously designed to marry fruit-forward flavours with the classics. The Plum Jasmine comprises a decadent chocolate hazelnut, caramelised honey panna cotta, jasmine ganache and fresh Kashmiri plum compote. The Fig & Walnut Tart brings abundant flavours with a walnut pie, fig compote, an indulgent milk chocolate ganache and fig mousse. Luxuriously layered, the Guava & Peach Delice contains almond sponge, spicy guava jelly, peach compote and mascarpone cheese mousse, while citrus-sweet lovers can indulge in the Tangerine Sachertorte, which includes a lavish Sacher sponge, tangerine jam and chocolate.
Speaking on the inspiration that manifested the collaboration, Mr Udai Pinnali, CEO (Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality) shared, “Each year, we at Yauatcha, plan to make the festive season a special one for our patrons. This collaboration is a testament to both the brands’ commitment towards creating unmatched offerings and curating experiences like never before.”
The crux of the dessert collection are the nine macarons, inspired by the Navratnas. Serving a burst of nostalgia, the Rose Pearl encompasses a citrus white chocolate ganache and gulkand jam. The Saffron and Mango features a beautiful blend of Indian flavours with Saffron malai and mango fruit cream. Cutting through the sweetness, the Dark Fig macaron, contains a dark fudge and a fig compote, bringing the perfect medley of fruity and classic flavours. An exotic twist comes with the Cashew & Peach macaron that includes a salted cashew ganache and peach jam. The Strawberry Cocoa macaron brings the sweet berry flavour with a subtle tartness, with strawberry gel and dark chocolate ganache.
Representing its namesake, the Ruby combines the rich, creamy texture of chocolate with the delicate, floral essence of roses. The Gomed, featuring an exquisite mango ganache with white chocolate, brings together the velvety richness of chocolate with the tropical sweetness of ripe mango. Bailey’s Espresso is served with Bailey’s espresso chocolate, to bring in the smooth notes of chocolate and aromatic coffee. And finally, the Emerald macaron combines the creamy smoothness of chocolate with the distinct and earthy flavour of pistachios, with pistachio ganache and milk chocolate.
This limited-edition collection beautifully intertwines the artistry of Yauatcha and Tribe Amrapali, offering a unique experience that goes beyond traditional festive indulgence. Each dessert and macaron reflects a rich narrative inspired by the Navratna gemstones, inviting guests to savour the flavours and cultural significance behind them. These timeless handcrafted treasures are designed to elevate the festivities, bring your loved ones together and share festive cheer.
