The Third National Transgender Awards 2024, recognized as Adhinareeshwar, is an essential event organized by the Indian government to honor the LGBTQAI+ community in the country.
Organized by Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi (Gaurav Trust), the programme acknowledged various individuals from diverse backgrounds for their contributions to society and the transgender community. Salma Khan was honored with the Life Achievement Award at the event, while Sita (Delhi), Rachna (Telangana), Gauri Sawant (Maharashtra), Samana (Manipur), Nakshatra (Rajasthan), R Jeeva (Tamil Nadu), Aarti Yadav (Andhra Pradesh), Ankura (Gujarat), Rahul Mitra (Madhya Pradesh), and Dr. Aksa Sheikh (Uttar Pradesh) won the Pathfinder Award, Trans Allyship Award, and Organizational Award respectively. Dr Bela Sharma and Padma Ayyar were awarded the Vidya Puraskar.
