Continuing its commitment to bringing audiences stories that are rooted in real emotions and relatable human experiences, Zee 5 Global is set to premiere Adkitta on September 11, 2026. As part of its growing slate of compelling Marathi originals that explore relationships, family dynamics and contemporary social realities, Adkitta delivers a gripping and emotionally charged narrative that examines the complexities of parenthood, trust and attachment.
Directed by Ashutosh Parandkar and produced by Mangesh Pawar & Co. and Jackpot Entertainment, Adkitta is a compelling family drama that delves into the emotional intricacies of family dynamics, work life balance and caregiving. Starring Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Chandekar and Sakhi Gokhale, the film brings together a stellar cast in a story that is both intimate and moving. Balancing emotional depth with a relatable narrative, Adkitta further strengthens Zee 5 Global’s commitment to showcasing distinctive stories that spark conversation while staying deeply rooted in human emotions.
Sai Tamhankar, who plays Mangal said, “Mangal is a character who enters Gautam and Kasturi’s life at a very unexpected moment and slowly becomes an important part of their journey. What I found interesting about her is that there is much more to her than what meets the eye. Adkitta beautifully explores how people can arrive on the same page despite their differences because of one binding factor - love. The film has emotion, tension and a lot of heart, and I’m really happy that audiences will now get to experience this story on Zee 5 Global.”
Siddharth Chandekar, who plays Gautam said, “Gautam is someone who believes he has figured out his life, until parenthood changes the equation completely. I connected with the character because his confusion and struggle come from a very relatable place, wanting to be there for his family while also trying to build his career. Adkitta presents these situations with a lot of warmth and humour, but there is also a strong emotional journey underneath. I hope Gautam and Kasturi’s journey sparks conversations about the choices we make, the roles we play, and finding a balance between the two.”
Sakhi Gokhale, who plays Kasturi said, “Kasturi is an urban, independent woman who is navigating new motherhood in a nuclear family set up while also chasing her ambitions. A conflict so very common and yet unexplored makes Adkitta and Kasturi extremely relatable. Adkitta is a simple reflection of our lives while diving deep into the complexities we all tackle on an everyday basis.”
