Zee 5 Global has announced Rudhra Vanam PS, an investigative thriller that follows an honest police officer as he navigates a complex case that challenges his beliefs and sense of justice. Directed by Sasidhar Munnangi, the seven-episode mini-series centres on SI Sivakumar, played by Naresh Agastya, whose investigation into a mysterious disappearance and a gruesome headless corpse exposes the darker realities of a small town
What begins as an investigation into a missing man and a headless corpse soon takes a complicated turn as SI Sivakumar follows a trail of clues that reveals identity discrimination, local power struggles, corruption, and long-buried secrets. As the case unfolds, he faces mounting pressure from the social and political forces around him. With each revelation bringing him closer to the truth, the investigation becomes not just a test of his abilities as a police officer, but also a personal and moral battle.
Through its investigative narrative, Rudhra Vanam PS explores how deeply entrenched prejudices, power dynamics, and hidden truths can shape a community. The series brings together a cast led by Naresh Agastya as SI Sivakumar, alongside Banerjee as CI Venugopal, Shiva Alapati as ASI Madhav, Sugali Siloni as ASI Nirmala, Ramesh Konambhotla as Head Constable Sundar, Narayana Swamy as Constable Gangadhar, Shravani Reddy as Sravani, Charu Wakan as Anji and Preetee Sundar as Swarna.
