Zee5 Global, the world’s leading streaming platform for South Asian content, today announced the digital premiere of the comedy‑drama film Hey Balwanth, streaming from March 31. Co‑written and directed by Gopi Atchara in his directorial debut, the film stars Suhas, Shivani Nagaram, and Naresh, and is produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the banner Trishul Visionary Studios.
Set in Guntur, Hey Balwanth follows Krishna (Suhas), a young man eager to inherit his father’s legacy, until he discovers the truth he was never prepared for. As he falls in love with Mithra, an idealistic NGO founder, Krishna finds himself torn between love, morality, and the uncomfortable reality that his father Rao Balwanth’s “business” is a lodge involved in illegal activities. What unfolds is a heartfelt and humorous exploration of a father–son bond tested by truth, choices and the weight of legacy.
Lead actor Suhas says, “Hey Balwanth is very close to my heart because it speaks about ambition, family, and the moral crossroads we rarely talk about. It has humour, emotion and a lot of honesty. I’m very glad the film is reaching audiences through Telugu Zee5, where more people can connect with Krishna’s journey.”
Veteran actor Naresh adds, “The father–son dynamic in Hey Balwanth is beautifully written, and playing Rao Balwanth allowed me to explore a character with both complexity and warmth. I’m happy that the film is coming to ZEE5 Global, a platform that consistently supports meaningful Telugu storytelling.”
